Once upon a time...

One of my favorite childhood photos of myself was taken by my brother when I was so very young, that I actually have no recollection of the photo ever being taken. I loved the pure joy on my face, the innocence, the way that moment was frozen in time. The photo was blur, it was plain, it was not technically great, but to me, it's the best image in the whole world that reminded me of what a happy little kid I was. More importantly, the image captured a moment that I wasn't able to recall as time passed!

These days...

These days, I try to create images that bear the same kind of impact that my favorite childhood photo had on me. Luckily, I have a knack for making things look beautiful in pictures =) and my favorite thing about it is being able to make people so happy their hearts melt and they get teary eyed when looking at themselves, their family, their babies, through my lens. My love for photography comes not from the art or the latest, newest, camera equipment. It comes from seeing your reactions and your smiles and hearing you talk about how much you love your images.

P.S. quite appropriately, this is one of my favorite pictures of myself today. My hair is kind of a mess, it was hot (in Malaysia) and and uncomfortable, but I love this photo because it brings back memories for me - it was taken by my wedding photographer (www.thephotoz.com) the morning before I got married =)

And everything in between...

I grew up in Malaysia and came to the States to finish my college degree. Found a job after graduation and just never left. Today, I live in Schaumburg, a suburb of Chicago, with my husband Paul, and my two babies - Kiwi and "P" - my beloved kitties who own me. Besides photography - I love to cook and bake (its really because I love to eat!).
